All of Monnie and Joan-e's children were exclusively home-schooled until college.

When their eldest daughter graduated from high school in 1997, she had already completed two years of study at a local university. Her university grades were so strong that she was named Valedictorian of the local public high school, a school which she had never attended! Upon graduation from high school, she was already a junior in college.

Their second daughter graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2004 with highest honors and is an interior architect in downtown Minneapolis.

Their son graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan, with a degree in political science. He served as an intern at the White House in 2007 and assisted Hillsdale College in establishing a Masters in Statesmanship program in D.C. He is earning a Masters Degree from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University.

Their youngest daughter graduated from Baylor University in Waco, TX.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family and Child Studies and is pursuing a law degree from Liberty University.  Her longterm goal is to become a Judge and advocate for children.
